Effective Traffic Demand Management (TDM) implementation requires an optimal combination of marketing and transportation planning. <\/span><\/p>\n

TDM strategies should present solutions to fight congestion by increasing the desire of the traveling public to use modes of transportation other than driving alone, particularly during peak commute times. Other options of TDM strategies include directing commuters to ridesharing, mass transit, walking and biking. If a substantial amount (approximately 20%) of the traveling public are afforded the opportunity to work from home or have work schedules that allow commuting slightly before or after the peak periods, that too would lead to noticeable congestion relief. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
