CTS was the lead for all design, survey, RFP development, inter-office and FDOT coordination, PD&E coordination, multimodal facility coordination, scheduling, and estimating. All tasks were completed on-time and within budget.

The project included the construction of a truck travel center on a 15-acre parcel located within the Golden Glades Interchange and the support of a truck travel center and multimodal transportation center. The truck travel center will provide a minimum of 135 truck parking spaces, 2,150 parking spaces, 4,500 square foot transit hub, and 10,450 square retail spaces, and may include amenities such as vehicle and truck fueling stations, travel center with commuter rail connection, bus access, retail space and quick service restaurants, a truck repair facility, truck wash, and certified static scale. The project may also include additional features, such as a Truck Parking Availability System (TPAS), security features, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
The site was originally scheduled to be developed, operated, and maintained via a 2-stage design-build process. CTS developed the request for proposal (RFP), indicative concept plans, construction plan, and necessary attachments / reference documents for implementation of the design-build process.
